What’s Cooking?

Plum cake for breakfast. Made with summer plums that I froze last September.

Breakfast coffee cups from the zoo.

Lunches

Delicata squash with other vegetables,

A squash taco on a tortilla with salsa and salad.

Another lunch, another salad.

Mapo tofu with vegetables

Mapo tofu, baby broccoli with onions, and simple cucumbers with vinegar and salt.

Broccoli, tofu, and cucumbers. We bought a big pack of chop sticks!

Cooking a fish

A whole snapper, stuffed, trussed, and ready for the oven. One fish serves two people.

Serving plate and cilantro for garnish, ready for the fish.

The baked fish served with a dish of mushrooms in butter and garlic. It was delicious!

  6. So many delectable edibles -- looks like you made a feast! And all of it so gorgeously presented. I love the fish mats (? trivets? trays? something else?) - between the line drawings and delicate tints, they remind me of paintings by Paul Klee.

  7. Looks so good Mae. And really, you are not allowed to call that second salad just "another salad".. it looks wonderful; I do love how you present all of your food. We eat with our eyes too don't we? Thanks for the feast.

Every single photo looks like a sumptuous repast. For a hot meal the fish with mushrooms looks mouth watering. The plum cake looks to my taste as well. Excellent choices.
