Desert lizard by C. Caplinger. Twenty-Nine Palms has 27,000 people and a vast number of murals! Last week when I was visiting there, I posted images of several historical murals in the town: See This Post. |
On the same building: a roadrunner that captured the lizard! |
This entire building is one huge mural. |

Beautiful collection of murals. I really love the roadrunner.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and happy new week!
Murals really do enhance the landscape and enliven dull urban settings, and I am not quite sure why we don't have more in Canada.
ReplyDeletei really enjoy seeing murals and these are great. better than graffiti, and great display for plan ole' concrete walls!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have the best travel photos. Love the murals.
ReplyDeleteI was able to take a few pics of murals this week and post them to my insta. Here is my insta if you have time https://www.instagram.com/trincarl07/
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I especially like the lizard and the name of the shop in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteI bet 29 Palms has more murals than we have in Wichita. I loved them all. The one outside the realty office was colorful. I laughed at the name of the "nearly new" sign.
ReplyDeleteI had a horrible time uploading my mural today. Took over 30 minutes to load it.
This is a very stimulating series of images in its diversity. I particularly like the third one from the top
ReplyDeleteThese are brilliant.
ReplyDeleteEach of these is so well photographed!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, these are all so cool! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThese murals are beautifully striking -- it's interesting to me how they illustrate the history/ethos of the area while making for eye-catching landmarks. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful - and I love they even have a story to tell.
ReplyDeleteVery nice you could be there and see those beautiful murals. That building (third photo): wow
