Street Art from our trip

 Our week in Baja California had many highlights, especially whales. We also visited a few small towns, where I saw quite a few murals, sidewalk decorations, hand-painted signs, and more. I’ve chosen a few of them for today — over time, I will post more wildlife and more art, but here are a few examples. I’m happy to say that our last flight brought us home at almost the time expected on our original schedule.


As we headed for airport security at LAX yesterday, I noticed this large mural.

Along the waterfront in the town of La Paz.

Near the dock in Lopez Mateos, a small town where we were about to embark for whale watching.

The shadows of palm trees added to the effect of this mural.

    I really liked all of the murals, but my favorite would be the one with the palm tree shadows. It is really nice. Glad you made it home in good time.

    Welcome home, Mae. So glad you enjoyed your trip. You found some impressive murals. Just lovely, especially the one at LAX.

    What is the deal with the rabbit? Is that a bird in front of it, or is something protruding from its innards. Hard to see and hard to tell. Other than the rabbit, I really enjoyed all the murals you found on your trip.

    I love the juicy jolt of color in all of these. Maybe especially the sun among the saguaro; also the swirl of the women's skirts on the docks.

    Those are all such wonderful, creative murals! And you are right, the palm trees added some art, too.
    The quirky girl made me smile - and reminded me Ingo will tell my dentist I will pop in next month, uhhhh.... Beer, please?

    What interesting murals. I love them all, although I didn't know what to make of the rabbit.
