A Day Birding on the Island of Texel

The sheer number of birds that flock together in the fields is just amazing.
They breed much further to the north, and they winter in the open fields of this agricultural area.

These Bearded Reedlings are hard to see as they hide among the reeds.
We were happy to catch them sitting slightly in the open.

A bird on a church steeple!

A common snipe.

  1. Great sightings! The pheasants are pretty. Neat capture of the Bearded Reedlings! The Snipe has always been a favorite of mine. In the first photo, are they Barnacle Geese? Have a great weekend.
