The Great British Baking Show is At It Again!

New today: the second episode of the 2022 Great British Baking Show. It’s lots of fun to watch and the contestants this year seem quite creative. The judges (same as the last few years) seem to enjoy the flavors and textures of most of their productions.

The first challenge: macarons made to look like something else.
The baker named Rebs made them look like her cat Branston.

The Showstopper: A Mask Displayed on a Stand

Waiting for the judges’ announcement: Who will be Star Baker? Who will go home?

  4. I used to watch this show, and it is pretty amazing if one is into baking with all the drama and sometimes disasters. This episode looks very interesting. I love all the different masks.

  8. I love this show but last night I was so tired I dropped off during the macarons, woke up and dropped off again for the technical and finally went to bed. I think we started too late. I will re-watch today. I've made macarons before and doing them in two hours -- and creatively -- is a challenge!

  10. I've only seen one episode and it was about bread. The flight home from Omaha had it available and I was entralled. Wish I could see it at home. What great creations.

  11. That's not a show I watch, but my son and his girlfriend do = she's quite the baker. Some 'interesting' masks, but I agree with the person ahead of me who said the cats are best. :) Happy fall!

  13. I love this show. Every season I can't believe I will like it as much as the last, but whoever picks their contestants does an excellent job, because after an episode, I am once again hooked. Happy end of the weekend Mae. hugs-Erika

  14. The Great British Baking Show is my favorite show, I think. I was delighted that it has returned with a new season of episodes. Is it just me or is this season of bakers the best ever? There really wasn't a bad mask among all eleven. The person who went home just had the misfortune to make a mask that was slightly less complex than the others.
