That French Bottle of Wine by Robert Doisneau

Robert Doisneau (1912-1994) was a famous photographer, known for his photos of people on the streets in Paris and for many portraits of famous people. His legacy includes hundreds of thousands of photographs. I chose a few today with wine drinkers, and a few other drinkers -- to share with the other bloggers who celebrate a variety of drinks by posting to Elizabeth's blog each week.

    I SO enjoyed these lovely vintage photos. And some famous people who he photographed made it even more interesting. He must have been very prolific and had an eye for his art. Seems he really enjoyed restaurants and pubs, the more intimate the better. Thanks for this sharing the great photographer Robert Doisneau and his iconic photographs with us for T this almost Tuesday, dear Mae.

    Per your comment on tornadoes, I have a post I'm working on right now about tornadoes and Oz. I've been on the yellow brick road, which goes through Wichita.

    Here's some photos a friend sent me. She knew I was concerned about my rental home in a suburb of Joplin, MO. These photos are all too familiar to me.

    Some things in Paris, like sitting at sidewalk tables hasn't changed. But the change in Saint-Germain-des-Prés its quite something. Lovely choice of photos Mae.

    There are some places we visit in Paris that really make me think about who sat in certain places, especially in St Germain. I think we must have sat in the very place that Neveu and Huxley sat when we had coffee there a couple of years ago! Love the hairdresser photo - Oh the days when we would sit in the sun!
