A beautiful mural!
|
Artist Jake Dwyer's mural on the Phoenix West Building in downtown Ann Arbor is still a work in progress: a very promising one! I especially enjoyed seeing it because I worked in this building many years ago when it was very run-down and neglected (at least I think it was this building). Now it’s very lovely — especially appealing because I love birds!

And another mural in Ann Arbor, near the Farmers Market. Probably, I’ve seen this before. |
The mural is lovely and a great way to brighten up an urban space. The bird theme certainly has my stamp of approval!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely murals. I think the bird are gorgeous, but music is such a critical part of my life that I vote for the other as my favorite.
ReplyDeleteQuelle merveilleuse couleurs, autant pour le bâtiment que pour cette fresque enchanteresse qui fait chanter la brique
ReplyDeleteI love the one with blue birds. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love these murals so much. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the murals in this post!
ReplyDeleteI was born in Ann Arbor, at the University of Michigan hospital so I am excited to find your blog. But, we moved to southern California when I was only 6 weeks old so I don't really remember Ann Arbor, but I do hold a special place in my heart for it.
And, you've got one of my favorite foods as your header photo: red and yellow raspberries!
Looks like not just the mural, but the entire building has had a facelift. The mural is absolutely stunning and fits your love of birds to a T.
ReplyDeleteThey are both stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love that bird mural - it is simply beautiful
ReplyDeleteGreat color composition with that blue in blue of the birds against a kind of nightsky.
ReplyDeleteStunning mural and it looks great with the dark background.
ReplyDeleteThe musical mural is also quite pretty.
