Neighborhood Parade for the 4th of July

The lead vehicle in the parade was a police car, followed by dozens of bikes, and ending with two firetrucks.

Gathering in the park.

Stragglers and the final firetruck in the park.

Watermelon and donuts for the bicycle riders.

We put our little flags in the flower pots.

  1. Happy Independence Day, Mae. Looks like half the town turned out for the parade, too.

  2. Forgot to mention how clean the streets looked. Wichita city workers sweep my street MAYBE once a year. You are so lucky.

  5. Your photos of the fireworks came out great. We usually go, but we skipped it this year.

  6. What a fun event! A year ago, did you think we'd ever be able to do something like this again?
