Alice planned for us to make the famous TikTok Feta Pasta for dinner last night. It’s pretty easy and turned out very tasty: the pepper flakes add a really great flavor to the other ingredients. It’s been famous for a while so you might have already tried it. What a treat: cooking and having dinner with other people after a year of isolation!
Ingredients: feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, red pepper flakes, and of course, pasta. |
Tomatoes, cheese, olive oil — ready for the oven. |
After 40 minutes in the oven, the tomatoes have burst and the cheese is browned. You mix it up with the cooked pasta, just like on TikTok. The Washington Post recipe suggests adding a bit of pasta cooking water to make it creamier. This works! |
On the plate: pasta and vegetables. |
Broccoli in the Air Fryer...
New to me: using an air fryer. Another tasty dish! |

This is new to me, but it certainly looks tasty.
ReplyDeleteI had never seen nor heard of the Tik Tok pasta but it looks very good. I will have to try it soon!
ReplyDeleteI bought an air fryer a few months ago and use it just about every day. Other than a coffee maker, it is the most used small appliance I have ever owned
Looks great. We're still isolated here! Have a great day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteOh this looks so good. I have an airfryer and use it most everyday. However, mine is like an oven. No basket and I love it. Saves time, money, and the food is excellent. Have a very good day.
ReplyDeleteI hadn’t heard of this recipe, and I was glad to read your comments that I am not the only one! It looks so good and will be on my menu next week! I went to Delish and bookmarked their recipe, because the Washington Post link was for subscribers only. How wonderful that you can have company for dinner again!
ReplyDeleteI've not tried the tiktok pasta dish. I will tell my mom about doing broccoli in the air fryer. Shabbat Shalom Mae.
ReplyDeleteIt's ALL new to me, but I love seeing how you made it. Feta is one of my most favorite cheeses. And I think I need an air fryer. Glad you could share food with family after being in lock down for so long.
ReplyDeleteWe´re far from cooking together or gathering in general. Hmmm, looks yummy. We have an air dryer, I never tried broccoli, though! Did you cook it first (dumb question, right?).
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous trip Mae, and the food looks delicious. I am catching up for this comment is also for other posts. Fabulous bird photos too. Looks like you are having a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI know what Tik Tok IS but I never use it or go there so this is new to me. We just had a feta/lemon/asparagus/shrimp linquini the other night. This would be a great addition to our pasta repetoire. What's not to love about feta? The idea of the tomatoes/feta in the oven sounds great! Thanks for this.
ReplyDeleteThe pasta looks delicious. I've never heard of TikTok Pasta; I've barely heard of TikTok. Nevertheless, this sounds wonderful. And being together? It almost doesn't matter what we eat.
ReplyDeleteI am n a big fan of pasta and will be saving this recipe. Looks easy and delicious. It’s nice to start gets back to normal.
ReplyDeleteWe get our second vaccine dose in two weeks, getting back to routines.
I've heard of these new TikTok recipes, but have yet to try one. This one looks like something we'd enjoy, I might just make it.
ReplyDeleteHeard about this pasta and must try it!
ReplyDeleteI need to get more adventurous with my new air fryer. So far have only done our weekly steaks and wings and fries.
I don't think you'll be sorry for the air-fryer. We like our air-fryer lid enough that we're thinking of getting a standalone appliance.
ReplyDeleteMae,
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of roasting all of those tomatoes- looks wonderful and great photos I see you are using an fryer- still no interest in an Instant Pot??
It does look yummy !
ReplyDeleteI have seen the pasta on TikTok and some of its variations and it looks really tasty. Glad you enjoyed it and your dinner with other people. ;-)
ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago I misspelled TikTok as TicToc in a text to my kids and they laughed and laughed (via emoji). Needless to say, I've never been on it! I've seen a few TikTok videos when shared on Facebook, so I have an idea. And the last thing I need is another addictive social media site! However, you have gotten me curious about TikTok Pasta, so I'll need to check it out. I'm thinking of trying this recipe idea out with roasted cauliflower in place of the pasta, or a combination of the two...?
ReplyDeleteNice! It is on our list to make.
