Downtowns aren’t the most lively of places these days, even on weekdays. Yours looks like it was once and hopefully will eventually become so again. We lived in a downtown apartment for a few years (summer and fall only) here in Eugene and enjoyed walking to the city amenities. Great restaurants and entertainment, planned and spontaneous, and steps away from library. ....
How sad that this company had been in business that long and now is gone. That's a stunning mural. I'm with Dee and wondering if it represents a map of some kind. The painted windows are very unique, too.
To those who see the mural by Williamson as a map: I don't think that's intended, I think it more resembles her weaving and abstract art works.
To those who commented on how quiet downtown looks: I was there before 8 AM on Sunday in order to easily get to the murals. It's much busier at other times but I was avoiding those times.
Quite a pretty mural in various shades of blue. I like the shop windows too. How sad that a business that was established such a long time ago has closed. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.

Interesting mural..hopefully spring has arrived!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
Always love your walk photos. My walks around our neighborhood are very boring in comparison.

ReplyDeleteVery cool mural and views of Ann Arbor.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very interesting mural on top. Attractive, too.
ReplyDeleteCould it be a representation of a city map?
Did they close due to Covid? It looks so quiet where you live.
ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteIs it a map?

ReplyDeleteI live over on the western side of the state and it's been a few years since I've browsed downtown AA.

I like the mural, or rather the three murals.
ReplyDeleteAnd the windows, so cute.
Love the nural! Beautiful colors! Many city centers won't look the same, after this pandemic is over. Many shops closed already.

I like the mural but I LOVE the painted windows!
ReplyDeleteI love your downtown early in the morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mural design for that location! The painted windows add a lot to the windows.
