New takeout place in my neighborhood, at a location where many have
failed! |
|
At least the store front is now beautifully painted! |
|
Will "Side Biscuit" succeed here, where so many others have not?

I wish them well, but I won't be trying the chicken wings from this new place, so close to my house. Why? Because I'm avoiding purchasing any chicken from
battery-raised hen houses and worker-endangering industrial meat processing
plants. Also, chicken wings are normally too greasy for me, and their version sounds especially over-the-top. I hate to say it, but I suspect that a lot of the people who live near this new place will have similar reasons to skip this new offering, and it's just a little too far from where most of the students live, where the demand might be higher.

I wish them well, but I find their prices a bit pricey. I guess I'm used to Kansas prices, which is obviously not as high as yours. Like you, I'm not eating chicken or meat of any kind.
ReplyDeleteHi Mae, I promise to comment more later but
ReplyDeleteI got a question about blogger - have you been having any trouble? In the Post section where blog posts and draft posts are - my thumbnail image is incorrect as someone else image has been inserted; and some of my blog post images are inserted with images. But outward it all appears all right - are you having similar problems. I am just checking if other bloggers have encountered similar error. Let me know. I have left feedback to blogger, but don't know if they will respond. Let me know, please.
@Shaheen — I checked the “Posts” section of the blogger management page, and the images for my posts look correct. My main problem with blogger now is mainly with the iPad version — it’s much harder to use than the version on the laptop or desktop computers. On the whole I think I’m getting used to the new interface.
ReplyDeleteFor me, the best part of chicken is the wings and thighs with skin on..I love fat, the more fat it has, the tastier. Sometimes I just eat chicken skin, and my cats get the meat. But I wouldn't touch any junk food, esp. fried in so called vegetable oil.
ReplyDeleteI would probably go to the new place if I lived there. The franks and butter wings would be keto compliant
ReplyDeleteNice little corner house with lovely murals.
ReplyDeletewhat a nice painted shop !
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cool paint project. The artwork goes so well with those walls and that location. So attractive!!
ReplyDeleteAnd those eyes on the first picture -- wow!!
I'm always amazed when someone opens where others have failed. It's like they think they have the magic ingredient. Hopefully they make it, but if not, at least the building looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteI never had chicken wings, for the same reasons.
ReplyDeleteI wish them luck, though, at least the place looks fun.
But what made me really smile...: MIELE.
We have one and along with it the MIELE-baer, he was in a limited edition and is with us since...? 2006, I guess!
Of looks attractieve. To me
ReplyDeleteIf every shop made such work of their apperence we had a lot of nicer streets to explore.
ReplyDeleteThe storefront looks inviting, but I'm would eat there either, as I'm not a fan of chicken wings, and prefer home made food than fast food.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in Monday Murals.
Estos parecen que están hecho para adornar lo ventanales y la puerta de entrada. son bastante atractivos y atrae la atención en esa dirección.
ReplyDeleteCool! I'm happy to see people take these steps forward towards their business dreams. I wish them well.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to have a buffalo wings restaurant within walking distance. Love how they did the exterior!
