Good Eating

Our dinner the Saturday after Thanksgiving was at the Georgian restaurant "Supra."
In old Russia, the food of Georgia was considered to be the best. We loved it!

Supra restaurant's website defines "Supra" with three meanings:

• "A traditional tablecloth characteristic of the Republic of Georgia"
• "A Georgian feast featuring an abundance of food, wine, and toasts (sometimes poetic, often lengthy, occasionally punctuated by song)"
• "DC’s first restaurant featuring all of the above."

Supra's tasting board: mostly little vegetarian bites.
And a special cocktail.

We had a number of dishes, including soup dumplings (one shown!),
chicken marinated in sour cream with a very good cabbage slaw,
and lamb chops with garlic.

We don't know what this mural is depicting! The figures are larger than life-size.

Walking back to the metro from the restaurant,
we saw a big display of Christmas lights.

Sunday lunch after shopping at a REAL L.L.Bean store!

Coffee.

A tuna & egg sandwich on the very good bread made at Au Bon Pain.

These two restaurants were very interesting after a traditional Thanksgiving dinner!
