Is it Spring Yet? We are on Daylight Savings Time.

The local Dairy Queen has opened for the season. Snow? Yes. Near-freezing temps? Yes. Shorts? Yes.

First DQ of Spring! A small one. I'd be afraid to order a Blizzard.
Is the Detroit River thawed out? No.

Is ice fishing season over? No, this photo was taken Friday at Erie Metropark.
In nearby Ypsilanti: a maybe-springlike mural near City Hall.

  2. You made me smile big with this one :-)
    Better no "Blizzard", I agree!
March 31st we change to summer-time.
Great you have a least this mural to dream of spring!

  3. A Spring like mural at least to compensate for all the snow and ice.
I had to laugh at the ice-fishing :) I would be scared to sit on top of the ice just in case it broke and I would be frozen...
    Thanks for contributing Mae.

  5. It's about the same here, snow on the ground and ice on our lake a block away. DQ not open here yet but I'm sure it will be soon. It hits 50° here, they'll be out washing cars in their shorts! That chocolate ice cream cone looks really yummy!

  6. We were just at dairy Queen for a blizzard! I like your DQ, I like the older buildings.

  7. I love DST. And yes, signs of spring -- but I'm holding off on anything definitive for a bit!
