Morning: we were at the Eiffel Tower looking around.
Cars swirl around the Arc de Triomphe. We walked most of the length of
the Champs Elysee. What's impressive here: the Apple Store in a palatial building.
Afternoon: an expedition to Galleries Lafayette Department Store. An example of 19th century engineering & architecture.
When the building was new, daylight from the glass dome provided light for the balconies, where luxury goods are still on sale.

Mae, that Eiffel Tower is a fabulous view/perspective. I've seen loads of ET pix but not from that angle.
ReplyDeleteAnd how I would love to see Lafayette at Christmas! The windows, too!
Just beautiful. Hope to get there someday (especially during the holidays)! Thanks for sharing!
