Asparagus Season

Asparagus is in season. We saw it in the market in Arles, and I'm sure we'll see it in the Paris market too, if we get there. I have eaten it several times; the three photos show the most beautiful arrangements on the plate. I imagine I'll eat more.

  1. I love each and every one of those arrangements. (What was in the center of the square "frame"--it's gorgeous! I am an asparagus lover, too, and no time better than right now! Savor!

  8. I tried white asparagus once but there wasn't a huge difference in flavor, especially when you considered what Fresh Market charges! But you are fortunate enough to be in France and I know they pick it when it's best to serve within days. Wish I was there! Love the presentations.

  9. I love the presentation of those asparagus dishes! Great to be able to enjoy it fresh from the fields. Here where I live, they are imported.
