Favorite bird of the day: the Great Jacamar. |
We watched birds for 11 hours today, along the Pipeline Road parallel to the Panama Canal. The pipeline was to be a backup for transport of oil in case the canal was bombed during World War II, but it was never used. Since then, the road has barely been maintained, but has wonderful birds to see. Eventually I'll post more photos of them.
