Toronto

We drove from Ann Arbor to Toronto on Tuesday, and have been sampling restaurants in the area of the University of Toronto (photos when I get back -- especially of the markets in Chinatown). I really enjoyed a meal at a place called Thai Basil, where every menu category offered at least one dish made with fresh raw basil leaves or quick-fried fresh basil leaves. We tried a very hot scallop salad, minced chicken with basil, and basil seafood with mussels, shrimp, and squid.
