In my kitchen this month I have many round and spherical things, and I don’t mean just round plates! Here are photos to share with the once-a-month link-up sponsored by Sherry at the blog Sherry’s Pickings, We cooked lots of good things for ourselves this month, and for our guests during the last week in June. Also, they cooked many good things for us. However, I decided to write and photograph something different for this month’s wrap-up.
 |
| Blueberries and Trader Joe’s candy — little spheres. |
 |
A somewhat rounded cardamom roll that Len baked.
|
 |
| Dough for the cardamom rolls rising in a round bowl and making a dome. |
 |
| Cupcakes |
 |
| Waffles |
 |
| Candy (actually spherical) |
 |
| Water bottles |
 |
| Pie weights for baking a shell to be filled later. I rarely use these. |
 |
| Potatoes — not quite spherical. |
Beyond my kitchen…
 |
| Ice Cream |
A highlight of June has been a visit from several relatives. Yesterday, to wrap up, we had ice cream at Argus cafe with Alice and Miriam. All our visitors have now left Ann Arbor.

If I had to choose which round object was the most desirable, it would definitely be the anniversary cheese cake. Then I would add a very large round blog of sour cream on the top.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun to see all those round and spherical things. They did make me hungry though and at the end I saw that yummy ice cream, now I'm positively salivating.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday,

Hello,
ReplyDeleteFun post on the round kitchen/food items. I love pizza, cheesecake and ice cream. Len's roll look yummy too! Take care, enjoy your day!
What a fun, round post! Great! I could add cherries.
ReplyDeleteAnd, P.S: I LOVE the heat!!! I hope it comes back! I´m Aussie-proofed and so is Ingo, we enjoy this immensly! At night I still have my two blankets (one with weight against stress).
I love all your round things Mae! That pizza looks the business! And are they your granddaughters? How lovely. Thanks for joining in this month. We missed you for the June IMK!

I like all those round things. It was a fun way to look at things.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post. A clever way to look at round things in your kitchen. It's been ages since I had a pizza. Add the ice cream and I am definitely in serious need of finding some food. Have a great beginning to July.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to look at your kitchen - I have a big grin on my face at all the round things. Waffles, egg yolks and cheesecake 0h my! And as usual I am filled with admiration for Len's baking!
ReplyDeleteOh, a month of round things in your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteGreat collection! That ripe tomato is beautiful, and so is that Cardamom roll. I must say, with so many references to Trader Joes, it reminded me of just how much I miss having one close by....
