Turkey Time

Gravy making and general prep.

Gravy makers: Miriam and Len.
Carving the bird.
New recipe this year: carrots with scallions & ginger.
Old favorites: turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, corn pudding, sweet potatoes with cilantro, garlic mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, cranberry bread, candied pecans, beets, and more.
We've eaten our turkey etc. accompanied by Beaujolais and Viognier, and now are about to have two or three kinds of pie and a large cake. More photos later!

The carrots sound great. How'd they work?

I wish I had a large enough kitchen to have more than one person at a time. You can fit two but it can get ugly!

Risky business making something new for the first time on the holiday -- but I did it with two recipes and it was fine!

Nice photos of the production. I didn't get any of my own, just of dessert, but did have my granddaughter helping, stirring gravy and getting meat off the bones.

Great Thanksgiving dinner, and I also love that kitchen!

My daughter made a new carrot recipe this Thanksgiving too! I've never had cranberry bread. I'll have to look for a recipe.
