Istanbul Foods

After writing about Elif Shafak's novel The Bastard of Istanbul earlier today, I looked over some of my photos of the extremely vivid food stalls in the spice market of Istanbul.

Lydia -- I completely agree, and I love exotic markets such as Istanbul and Jerusalem. But in fact, even the mom-and-pop food marts and big-time supermarkets in foreign countries are fun to walk through. ... Mae
